To create a new mobile program list, follow the steps below.
Step 1
1.1 Navigate to Mobile Messaging in the Communications section of Clutch Portal
1.2 Select Program List
1.3 Select New Program List
Step 2
2.1 Create a unique name for the program
2.2 Create a program handle which will appear at the beginning of all outgoing messages. The name will be included in the character count of the message and it will be in all caps in the text messages.
2.3 Select a shortcode
2.4 Choose the program start date, time, and timezone.
2.5 Choose the program end date or select the program does not expire
2.6 Set a number (max 99) and frequency (day, week, or month). Must be greater than zero.
2.7 Choose a support contact method. This will create either a smsHelpEmail, smsHelpPhone, or termsUrl merge variable that appears in the SMS Response for Opt-Out Confirmation, Help, Error (non-registered) and Program Expired
2.8 Select Program Responses and Defaults to move to the next step
Step 3
3.1 View the default responses for each level. You can edit each response.
3.2 (optional) Select MMS Program to create a MMS (add link)
3.3 Select “Next Response” to move to the next response or click on any item in the left sidebar to skip to that response
3.4 Select “Opt-in Sources & Keywords” to move on to the next section
Step 4 (option A)
4.1 Select API Opt-in to
4.2 Add your API Display Name
4.3 Go through each response. You can use the default response or edit
4.4 Select “Next Response” to move to the next response or click on any item in the left sidebar to skip to that response
4.5 (optional) and select MMS Program (add link) to configure an MMS Response
4.6 (optional) add another Opt-in Source (add link) to create multiple ways for someone to opt in (create different keywords for different dates or change the responses for different opt ins)
4.7 Select Complete & Save
Step 5 (option B)
5.1 Select Keyword Opt-In
5.2 Enter in opt-in keywords and separate each keyword with a comma
5.3 If you add multiple keywords, create a Reporting Group name
5.4 Choose a date, time, and timezone for the keyword to start
5.5 Determine if the keyword expires, and if so select a date, time, and timezone
5.6 Go through each response. You can use the default response or edit.
5.7 Select “Next Response” to move to the next response or click on any item in the left sidebar to skip to that response
5.8 (optional) select MMS Program (add link) to configure an MMS Response
5.9 (optional) add another Opt-in Source (add link) to create multiple ways for someone to opt in (create different keywords for different dates or change the responses for different opt ins)
5.10 Select Complete & Save
Step 6
6.1 View your new mobile program list.
6.2 Select the pencil tool to edit the program responses ad defaults or to add additional keywords.
6.3 Select “Manage Program List Level Responses and Defaults” to view a table of how many responses have been sent.
