Bulk issuance is the act of adding value to a specified range of physical gift cards with the same amount at the same time. Digital gift cards do not currently apply. Note that the permission for this tool is restricted to the Manager Role.
In order to use the Bulk Issuance tool, follow the steps below.
Step 1
1.1 In Virtual Terminal, navigate to the Gift & Stored Value section and click the Issue button.
Step 2
2.1 In the drop-down menu, select Multiple Cards.
2.2 Input the number of cards you wish to issue.
2.3 Choose the amount you’d like to put on each card.
2.4 Check the transaction total to make sure this is the correct total amount you wish to put on the cards.
2.5 (Optional) Input an External Reference for your own use.
2.6 Input the CardID and Sequence Number for the first card. You can find the Sequence Number on the printed card.
2.7 Input the CardID and Sequence Number for the last card. Cards need to be in sequential order with no gaps. There will be an error if the range the number of cards in this range does not match up to the number of cards you wished to issue.
2.8 Confirm your choice. Once this button is selected, a list of all cards to be included in the issuance will appear.
Step 3
3.1 Check the boxes to confirm that the numbers listed match the physical gift cards and that you selected both the correct numbers of cards and the correct total value.
3.2 Click Issue Gift Cards.
3.3 A message will appear informing you that your request has been submitted. Your cards will not have value until the process is complete and a final “Success!” message has been received. Depending on the number of cards to be issued and the API version of the integration, the issuance may take as long as 10 minutes. During this time, Virtual Terminal can still be used as normal.
3.4 Once your request has been processed, you will receive a pop up informing you that the issuance has been completed. Click Ok.
