To edit an Existing Template follow the steps below:
Step 1
1.1 Navigate to Communications > Email > Templates.
1.2 Click on the Actions button of the template you want to edit. Select the Edit button from the dropdown menu.
Step 2
2.1 Make your desired edits in the template using the WYSIWYG editor. To learn about the WYSIWYG editor, you can start here.
2.2 Click Save.
After completing both steps, an existing template has been edited. The date and time of the last updated column have been adjusted.
Templates and Active Triggered Emails
Note that when you update a template that is already being used in Triggered emails, the Email Template will not update in those active communications. This is so active communications are not affected by mistake.
If you want to update a Triggered email, we suggest you edit the email directly, not the template.
In the event you update the template and you still want these updates to show up in that Triggered email, you will need to go into the Triggered email and re-select the Template. This will push the changes from your updated template into your Triggered email. However, you will lose any changes you’ve made previously in the email that were not in the updated template.
