Data Synchronization

This step by step walkthrough shows how Clutch and Marketing Cloud Data sync instantly. In this example, we will begin in Marketing Cloud, view an existing last name, then in Clutch Virtual Terminal, make an adjustment to the same last name. After saving, we will see the change in Marketing Cloud. You can make any change to a customer in Clutch Virtual Terminal or Salesforce Marketing Cloud and the data will sync instantly.

Step 1

1.1 Navigate to Audience Builder > Contact Builder

Step 2

2.1 Select All Contacts to see all of your existing clients

Step 3

3.1 Select Email to search by customer’s email address
3.2 Enter an email address to find a customer in the search bar
3.3 Click on the Contact Key to view all customer information

Step 4

4.1 Select Attributes to view demographics, loyalty attributes, purchases and more

Step 5

5.1 Navigate to the demographics section and view last name – SmithOne

Step 6

6.1 In Clutch Virtual Terminal, find that same customer
6.2 Select the Add/Edit button

Step 7

7.1 Make an adjustment to the last name – SmithOneAlternative
7.2 Select Save

Step 8

8.1 View the updated name in Clutch Virtual Terminal

Step 9

9.1 Back in Marketing Cloud, navigate back to the same customer and see that the information has changed – last name is SmithOneAlternative
